Mission Statement

The content of this blog is from regular people. We’re teachers, nurses, writers, insurance agents, parents and members of our community. We are America, in spite of what any political party may have you believe. We all believe that America can be great if we come together and embrace the diversity of our country.

Why the name “Eww, Politics?” For decades we were all taught that things like politics and religion were taboos that should NEVER be discussed in polite conversation. Unfortunately, that has created several generations of adults who never learned the proper way to discuss such topics. And frankly, in our current day and age we need to have these discussions. We need to differentiate between political conversations and moral conversations. Our blog will have those political discussions and we’ll get into the moral stuff, too. We need to stop avoiding the difficult topics because we’re at a crossroads of sorts. It’s a time for learning and understanding and that can’t be done if we keep our mouths closed and our ears covered.
